Drug Disposal Locations

Proper disposal of medications helps keep harmful drugs out of the hands of people who are likely to abuse them. It also helps reduce the negative environmental impact that can result from simply throwing unwanted medications in the garbage, or flushing them down the drain. A vast array of pharmaceuticals have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans.
